Hey there!

I am a current 4th year management student at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. Apart from my studies, I do some freelance work whereby major management commitments refer to the fashion and event industry. Aside from that, I fancy writing, digital art, biomimicry and bionics. During the past years, I have lived and worked in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen and London. Developing a skillset regarding marketing and branding commitments, I made progresss towards product development, management and production through specialization programs and placements as well as private projects. Thereby a major interest lays on fashion innovation in terms of using new technologies to implement product and design processes on a more efficient and commercial level.

Feel free to say Hi!

FILIPPA K

Filippa K was founded in 1993 with a head office situated in Stockholm. Today it belongs to one of top leading Scandinavian fashion companies, strongly related to conscious fashion. With the dedication to to a carefully curated and timeless but modern wardrobe, Filippa K recognizes innovative sustainability as its guide to growth.

The journey towards sustainability is led by three initiatives, whereas the Front Runners are developed as sustainable as possible, going through a thorough life-cycle assessment with an examination from raw material to afterlife with minimal eco-system impact in mind. Besides the use of recycled materials, the company states full traceability from minimized cutting waste to ready made garment.

With the aim to create better standards for sustainable garment development and eventual improvement, I was selected to test and monitor the latest front runner initiative by Filippa K.

J.W.ANDERSON

J.W.Anderson is the eponymous label of Northern-Irish designer Jonathan William Anderson who established the brand in 2008. Today it is regarded to one of London’s most innovative new-generation fashion brands.

These days, J.W.Anderson has evolved into an internationally renowned and award-winning brand. The design aesthetic is often described as unique in terms of its textile wonkiness and approaching a very modern interpretation of gender by creating thought-provoking silhouettes through a cross-pollination between elements of menswear and womenswear. This idiosyncratic perspective earned the label a cult following and prompted J.W.Anderson to a fast growing company with several collaborations.

During my stay I assisted in the development of the Women's S/S '16 and Men's A/W '16 show collection, Star Wars collaboration, and organized the WSS16 press sample production.

VESSEL

The sea is everything. It covers seven tenths of the terrestrial globe. Its breath is pure and healthy. It is an immense desert, where man is never lonely, for he feels life stirring on all sides.
- Jules Verne, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea

The perpetual struggle of Holland against the water is at the heart of many tales. From Hans Brinker to the North Sea flood of 1953, water has been viewed as a foe. In this world where Mother Nature is challenging conventional notions of humanity, Vessel transcends beyond the realm of normalcy, evolving consumers minds and social constructs to see beyond the limitations of old. Seeing the relationship between man and water not as one of contrasts, but as one of mutual proportions, Vessel took inspiration the Dutch houseboat culture, engineering a new world where tomorrow’s threats become today’s opportunities. No longer limited to land, or rooted in routines, Vessel provides semiaquatic pioneers with a fashion brand designed for their independent and mobile lifestyle on the water.

Functioning as a part of the annual TRIPTIEK event, Vessel is created by 20 heads of the design, branding and management departments by AMFI. Within three weeks, the several teams had to create a convincing future brand that reflects a Dutch Icon for 2025.
